X-Men: The Animated Series Director Larry Houston pays tribute to the late Cyclops voice actor Norm Spencer on the anniversary of his death. Spencer, who voiced the mutant field commander and “formerly X-MenIntroductions for all five seasons between 1992 and 1997, died August 31, 2020, at the age of 62. While the cause of death is unknown, Spencer X-Men Co-star Cal Dodd – the voice of Scott Summers’ rival and fellow Wolverine – announced the Canadian actor’s death on social media. On Wednesday, Houston took to Twitter to post Spencer’s memory of the second anniversary of his death.

Spencer reprized the role of Cyclops / Scott Sumers in two episodes of the ’90s Spider-Man: The Animated Series He voiced another Marvel character, Drax the Destroyer, in 1998 episodes Silver Surfer: The Animated Series.
